Nia Classes

Each Nia class usually lasts for an hour and costs between £5-£8.

Classes are open to students of all ages and fitness levels. Nia can be adapted for everybody including those with limited mobility. Nia is practised barefoot, although jazz shoes or socks with non-slip grips can been worn if preferred and is gentle on the joints.

The practice of Nia encourages you to listen to your body, to sense your movements and to move in your own natural time in your own body’s way.

Mats are usually supplied for floor work and stretching at the end of the session. It is best to wear something comfortable that allows you to move easily and to bring a water bottle to keep yourself properly hydrated.
